Fernando Hierro, Al Nassr’s sporting director, stated Thursday that the club wants Cristiano Ronaldo to stay but is having trouble signing him. Ronaldo hinted at his Al Nassr future on social media after losing his final Saudi Pro League match. A strange remark accompanied Ronaldo’s Al Nassr shirt photo on X (previously Twitter).
“This chapter ends.”
“The tale? Writing continues. Thanks all.”
Hierro indicated during a Thursday news conference that the club is negotiating with Ronaldo and will find a solution. Ronaldo’s Al Nassr contract expires June 30. Hierro stated that several clubs want to sign him and that we will try to renew his contract.
“We are negotiating with Cristiano Ronaldo to renew his contract. He said we’ll solve it if God allows.
Hierro added that since the 40-year-old Portuguese star arrived in Saudi Arabia, top-level players had joined the league.
“Ronaldo’s early presence is a national project. Cristiano has globalised football in this country, Hierro stated.
His courage to come here, stay here, and open the Saudi Arabian league to the globe is amazing. A remarkable achievement.
