Man City Thrash Chelsea with Haaland Masterclass

Manchester City beat Chelsea 3-1, which put them in the top four of the Premier League. Erling Haaland scored all three goals. City got off to a bad start on Abdukodir Khusanov’s debut, but Noni Madueke scored the first goal to turn things around.

Josko Gvardiol tied the game for Pep Guardiola’s team, and Haaland scored with strength and skill 22 minutes from time. He then set up Phil Foden, who was in good form, for City’s fourth win in five league games. Before that, they had only won one of their previous nine games.

Ever since they dropped to sixth place in the Premier League, Chelsea has only won one of their last seven games. They might think about improving goalie Robert Sanchez, whose position led to Haaland’s important goal.

City won, which puts them in the running for the Champions League next season. This comes just days before they fight to stay in the tournament. The English winners need to beat Club Brugge on Wednesday to make it to the playoffs. They lost 4–2 to Paris Saint-Germain after being ahead 2-0.

“Emotionally, we got back on track after giving up the goal,” Guardiola said. “It´s really, really important for our final Wednesday and for the next games.”

Guardiola gave Khusanov and Marmoush their first games. That choice backfired horribly on Khusanov in just three minutes. Madueke scored with a tap-in after the first Uzbek player in the Premier League failed to head the ball back towards his own goal.

When Khusanov hit Cole Palmer, he was lucky to only get a yellow card.

Before moving to Bayern Munich for £59 million ($72.6 million), only Harry Kane had scored more Bundesliga goals than Marmoush. He scored after Sanchez blocked Ilkay Gundogan’s shot and thought he had tied the game, but he was called offside.

It was really cool what he did in the first half. That’s why Manchester City bought him: “Haaland on his new scorer.

City was in a lot of danger because left back Gvardiol was always attacking.

The Croatian rushed into the area and poked the ball just wide with his left foot, even though Chelsea was warned.

He scored his fifth Premier League goal of the season without much trouble before break.

Matheus Nunes tried to break from fullback, but Sanchez stopped him. Gvardiol then scored into an empty net.

In the second half, Guardiola cut his losses with Khusanov. After John Stones took his place, Manchester City rarely had problems at the back after that.

With a shot just wide after Ederson’s long pass found Marmoush, he almost scored his first goal for City.

Chelsea made the same mistake again. As Ederson cleared the ball again, Erling Haaland outmuscled Trevoh Chalobah and chipped Sanchez, who had run out of his goal and was now in no-man’s land.

Maresca said, “I think the second goal changed the mood.” “We trust Robert for sure but in the same moment he is aware that he is making mistakes.”

Even though Manchester City is having trouble, Haaland has been getting goals. He now has 24 for the season, with six goals in the last six games.

For the third goal, Foden scored his sixth goal in four league games after he was taken out of the game.
