Morocco Youth Football Program Gains Global Spotlight

In March 27-29, 2026 LaLiga and EA SPORTS are taking their program Next-Gen Drafts to Morocco. Morocco Youth Football Program will provide young Moroccan players with an unprecedented opportunity to express their talent and train in a professional manner. It belongs to the EA SPORTS FC FUTURES project, which is aimed at investing in the grassroots football and making the stars of tomorrow.

The program begins with the FC Rush tournament, in which the players play in 5v5 matches based on the EA SPORTS FC gameplay. Scouts of LaLiga evaluate technical performance, vision, and sportspersonship, and choose 50 participants (25 boys and 25 girls) to the next step.

These chosen players are part of the FC Futures Academy where they are offered individualized training by LaLiga-licensed coaches of UEFA PRO. Who gets ahead depends on their performance, their teamwork, their resilience and their commitment. There is also the final round where 32 players play 11v8 with a local team. Eight exceptional players, four boys and four girls will get an opportunity to play at the LaLiga Experience in Spain. It is there that they train with academy teams, play friendlies and absorb the culture of elite European football.

Morocco is the other host to this 2026 edition with Mexico, Japan, Nigeria and China, which indicates the increased role of the country in the development of youth football. This will make it one of the most ambitious international scouting programs in the sport with approximately 900 young players across the globe participating.
