Ruben Loftus-Cheek Injury Hits AC Milan

Ruben Loftus-Cheek injury has given a great blow to AC Milan as the midfielder has gone under the scalpel due to a painful collision that happened in the last match of the Serie A with Parma.

Early in the game at San Siro, the Ruben Loftus-Cheek had a broken jaw. The accident occurred because he made an attempt to meet a cross within the penalty area. In the transfer, he crashed into Parma goalkeeper Edoardo Corvi.

The midfielder was left on the ground and medical staff hurried on the pitch. It was a serious case at the very beginning and he was carried away on a stretcher. When the scope of the injury was realized, fans within the stadium were quiet.

AC Milan, subsequently, reported that the midfielder has had a fracture in the alveolar process of the jaw. Physicians operated to repair the injury. It was successful and the player is already out of the hospital.

The recovery duration is however anticipated to take about eight weeks. It will leave Milan with no one to play in that critical section of the season as they are deprived of one of their key midfielders.

Milan is finding it hard to have the injury when it comes. Competition is intense and the club requires depth in its squads to continue with the momentum. Loftus-Cheek has also been instrumental in giving physical strength and balance in the midfield that will now go missing.

The coaching team might have to change its strategy in the middle of the field within the next several weeks. The gap will have to be filled by other players.

Although the operation was successfully conducted, Milan fans will be hoping that Loftus-Cheek will be fully fit and be back in time before the crucial phase of the season.
